Mummy Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup white granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup cooked mashed pumpkin, home recipe or canned
1 tablespoon bread machine yeast
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
4-5 cups flour
2 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar (may mix 1/2 white 1/2 brown)
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Pumpkin Pie Glaze (see below)

Heat milk in microwave on high for 1 minute; beat in 1/4-cup brown sugar, 1/4-cup white
sugar and pumpkin; add yeast and mix. Beat in butter, eggs, 1 cup flour, 1-tablespoon
pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Add 1 1/2-cups flour and beat until smooth and elastic. Stir in
by hand 1/2-cup flour; place dough on floured surface and knead in additional flour until
dough is soft and smooth, but not sticky. Place in clean greased bowl, cover and allow
dough to rise until double in bulk (between 1-2 hours).

Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface into a two 12×10 inch rectangles (or one 24×10
rectangle); spread dough with 3-tablespoons softened butter. Mix together 1/2-cup sugar
and cinnamon and sprinkle over dough. Begin on long side and roll dough, pinch edges to
seal; cut into 24 1-inch thick slices, place rolls on large parchment paper covered or
buttered baking sheet. Cover and allow rolls to rise until nearly double in bulk (30-60
minutes). Preheat oven to 350 degrees, remove wrap from rolls and bake 15-20 minutes.
Cool 15-20 minutes then drizzle Pumpkin Pie glaze in mummy fashion. Enjoy with a cold
glass of milk.

Pumpkin Pie Glaze:

Beat together 2 tablespoons softened butter, 8-ounce softened cream cheese, 3-
tablespoons brown sugar, 1/4-teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, dash of salt, and 1-tablespoon
vanilla until creamy and smooth. Beat in 1/4-cup milk and 1 1/2-cups powdered sugar and
until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls (warm glaze slightly if needed to achieve desired
drizzle effect).
