Painted Herringbone Dresser

It’s one of the year’s most popular patterns – Herringbone! The offset, or broken zigzag pattern is breaking into the design world, spicing up accessories like trays and throw pillows, even furniture!

Heidi Ferguson with the blog HoneyBear Lane shares how she transformed a plain, boring dresser into a hip hot piece using the herringbone pattern.

Here are a few tips when painting:

1. Frog Tape leaves very sharp edges and is easy to work with.

2. Use an Exacto knife to trim off tape.

3. Measure top and bottom of open non-taped space to make sure your lines are even.

4. Remove the tape when the paint is still drying, better chance of crisp lines!
