Penne Pasta with Spicy Shrimp, Scallops and Sausage

2 tablespoons canola oil
1 small red pepper, ribbed, seeded and julienned
1 small white onion, julienned
1/3 pound scallops, 10/20 size
1/3 pound shrimp, 26/30, peeled & deveined
8 ounces chorizo or spicy Italian sausage, parboiled, sliced
2 roma tomatoes, crushed or finely diced
2 tablespoons blackening spice
½ teaspoon crushed chilies
2 tablespoons green onions
1 ½ pounds cooked penne pasta
salt and pepper to taste

In a heavy sauté pan over medium high heat, add canola oil and crushed garlic and sauté for one minute. Take the seafood and combine with blackening spice. Add to sauté pan, add sausage, red pepper, white onion and sauté for two minutes. Add tomatoes with crushed chilies and sauté for one minute more. Add green onions and salt and pepper, toss with penne pasta. Place in serving bowl and top with grated Parmesan cheese.
