Pennies by the Inch: A Measure of Love

Volunteer Coordinator Amy Murray and Maddie Taylor visit Studio 5 with details about the campaign.

⌘ Last year, over $8.6 million was expended to cover nearly 11,000 hospital visits by children in need at Primary Children’s.

⌘ One in nine patients cared for at Primary Children’s Medical Center receives charity care assistance.

⌘ A volunteer organization in each community conducts the door-to-door campaign.

⌘ One hundred percent of funds collected from Pennies by the Inch are used for patient care. (No deductions are made for administrative or fund raising costs.) Physicians at Primary Children’s donate their services to patients served by these contributions.

⌘ Primary Children’s Medical Center cares for all children regardless of race, religion, or financial means.

⌘ Primary Children’s Medical Center serves the largest geographical area in the United States for children in five Intermountain states (Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana).

⌘ Primary Children’s Medical Center is the only hospital in its service area to be verified as a Trauma 1 Center for children.

⌘ Primary Children’s Medical Center is one of only 50 freestanding children’s hospitals in the United States and is the 13th largest. It is one of the top children’s hospitals in the country.

Contributions can be mailed to Primary Children’s Medical Center Foundation, P.O. box 58249 or call 1 (800) 762-7262 or online at www.penniesbytheinch.org
