Got plain wooden beads? Dye them! Here’s the easy tutorial…

You can dye wooden beads to match any project.

Wooden beads are a craft store staple. They come in every shape and size, but they don’t come in fun colors.

That’s ok, because Jodi Sanford shared a fail-proof DIY to create your own customized and colorful beads for any project.

SUPPLIES

  • Wooden Beads
  • Dye
  • Water
  • Containers

Depending on the intensity of color, you can leave the beads in the dye bath for 10 minutes, up to overnight. Jodi suggests testing a bead before dying your whole batch to make sure you like the color saturation.

The project applications for these beads are limitless. You can add them to jewelry, key chains, table settings, wreaths, picture frames, and more. Jodi even dyed fabric strips to match her beads to coordinate as ribbons.
