Make a plain pencil case more fun… and personal!
We are likely in organization mode this time of year preparing and starting the school year. We have a few fun ideas to make those school supplies sing by personalizing them!
Ali Spittler and Brynn Grover, former school teachers turned art studio owners of The Pencil Box Art Studio, know the importance of creative expression in kids. They suggest letting your kids take some creative liberties with their supplies. It will really set them up with excitement and confidence.
One project idea is marbling paper. It’s a fun technique that can then be applied to the cover of a composition notebook, stationery, or note cards. Each piece looks unique and the reveal is part of the fun!
Another idea shared by Ali and Brynn is tie dye. Take a plain pencil bag and dye it to make it special.
These are both easy and fun as an after-school project for making those supplies just a little more special.
