Producer in the Wild: The largest Asian supermarket chain has a new Utah location

H-Mart Utah
1442 W 9000 S, West Jordan, UT 84088

Studio 5 Producer Maddy Tolman went for a grocery shopping adventure like no other. Her destination? The newly opened H-Mart in West Jordan, Utah—a store that’s anything but ordinary. “H-Mart is the largest Asian supermarket chain in the country, and now, it’s finally here in Utah!” Maddy shared. “It’s not just a grocery run—it’s an adventure.”

Step inside, and you’ll discover a treasure trove of unique finds. Shelves are stocked with colorful Korean candies, rows of hard-to-find ramen varieties, live seafood tanks, and exotic produce that you won’t see at your average supermarket. The store even carries Korean skincare and beauty essentials. Plus, there’s a boba tea shop inside, so you can sip while you shop.

Maddy asked H-Mart employees to share their must-try treats. She filled a cart with their picks had the ultimate H-Mart taste test—sampling everything from spicy snacks to sweet, chewy desserts.

H-Mart Must Grabs

Turtle Chips
Ultra-crispy, multi-layered corn snacks shaped like little turtle shells. Light, airy, and dangerously snackable. Maddy loved the choco churro flavor!

Hi-Chew Bites
A bite-sized twist on the cult-favorite Japanese candy—chewy, fruity, and bursting with juicy flavor in every piece. The bites are even more chewy and poppable than the original!

ChocoPies
A classic Korean treat: soft cake sandwiches with a gooey marshmallow center, all coated in a thin layer of chocolate. Like a snack-sized s’more!

Topfruit Soft Candy (Fudgy Candy)
These soft, fudgy fruit chews melt in your mouth with a rich, fruity punch. Mango was Maddy’s standout flavor.

Medicube Collagen Face Mask
A luxe Korean skincare staple, this sheet mask is infused with collagen to plump, hydrate, and leave your skin glowing after just one use.

Whether you’re hunting for ingredients for your next Korean barbecue or searching for an unique ingredient, H-Mart promises an experience worth the trip. “If you love Asian food in any form, you have to stop by,” Maddy said.
