Ryan Innes: Studio 5 Music Spotlight

Ryan Innes played a song from his new collection on Studio 5.

With deep emotion and heart, spiced with a playfulness rarely heard, Ryan is creating similarities to the jazzy sounds of Norah Jones mixed with a touch of Michael Buble and Joni Mitchell. His music speaks of love lost, love found, growing up, family fun, the wonder of newborns, what hurt feels like and his love affair with music.

Performing under the RLegacy Entertainment label, Ryan released his first CD in June and has unleashed a passionate fan base. From his launch party at Velours in Provo, Ryan has sung at the Sandy Amphitheater and concerts all around Utah as well as private home parties with more concert appearances scheduled this summer and fall at the Avalon in Salt Lake, the Candlelight Serenade in Thanksgiving Point http://candlelightserenade.com/, Sammy’s in Rexburg, a second gig at the Sandy Amphitheater September 11 and back to Velours November 1.

A native of Arizona, Ryan was originally headed to medical school. When a serious relationship failed, he turned toward music and enrolled in BYU’s music program. Not only did his group Vocal Point out-compete the best a cappella musical groups in the nation who year after year had won the coveted first place trophy, Ryan realized he had a shot at developing a successful musical career. Although he knew breaking into the music industry would be an uphill battle, Ryan quietly confirms, “This is what I was born to do.”
