Salt Lake Parade of Homes

Caroline Merrill with the Parade of Homes joins Studio 5 to bring you up-to-date on what you can expect this year.

Parade Home Categories and Concepts

You’ll see everything from $100 to $300 thousand dollar homes to over $3 million plus a historical remodel including the Brigham Young Farmhouse. Also see a variety of concepts including planned unit devleopments, transit oriented communities, master-planned communities, such as Daybreak, energy and green-built homes and homes that are maintenance free.

Parade Make-A-Wish Rooms

Each year many builders create special rooms in many Parade homes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah. These rooms are decorated in honor of the child and their wish. Ten builders have participated this year and will include such creative ideas as a fireman playhouse for a child who wants to be a fireman when he grows up. Another room reflects a desire for a playhouse and the room is decorated in just that way. This is a special area for the builders and visitors can also help. One dollar of each Parade ticket sold will go to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah
