We live in a scary world, but scaring kids about the dangers won’t keep the safe.
We live in what sometimes feels like a scary world, and as parents, we find it our responsibility to warn our children of all the dangers. We were slightly surprised when we came across this article in the Atlantic by Arthur C. Brooks that says…”Don’t Teach Your Kids to Fear the World: Scaring children won’t keep them safe. Instead, help them see the good.”
This idea intrigued us, so we asked our Studio 5 Parenting Contributor Heather Johnson to help us understand it.
