Step into Spring in Color
With holidays, graduations and weddings on the horizon now is the perfect time to look for colorful shoes to accent any outfit. One style in particular is the Dockers Perspective. This is an updated contemporary style that hasn’t forgotten that guys like to be comfortable. It features a full grain burnish leather upper, hidden goring for additional comfort and a real personal fit, full length cushioned EVA insoles with a gel pad in the heel for all day comfort and a lightweight latex rubber outsole for superior flex. This style looks great with slacks or khaki’s and is also available in tan and comes in wide widths.
Slip-On Dress Shoes
We also carry some more fashion forward brands including Stacy and Steve Madden. Slip on dress shoes are the way to go for many men today. Just slip them on and you’re out the door. The Stacy Danton with its leather uppers and linings has the great run off toe with some nice detailing on the side. With the goring at the top it is a comfortable and easy fit and also available in wide widths.
The Madden Regis is another great slip on dress style that we’ve just gotten in. Again it has the run off toe which is so popular right now. Double goring and leather linings make this a great comfortable fashion shoe for spring.
Canvas and Plaid
Now that we’re done with your men’s basics let’s move onto some really fun spring styles. Canvas and plaid have made a huge comeback this spring. We saw it start last year and it continues to grow.
Some brands setting the canvas trends are Ralph Lauren Polo, US Polo, Sperry, Gotcha and Levi’s. What we see in the marketplace is the whole “American Heritage” look really coming into play here. It’s that refreshed preppy look with a casual feel all centered around brands such as Sperry, Rocket Dog and Ralph Lauren which is why we are so excited about the Polo Brisbane style that you see here. Again, plaid is a key pattern for spring.
The classic Levi’s brand has also made a huge comeback the last couple of years and now you are starting to see it in the footwear segment. We are launching this brand in our stores this spring and really excited about the look with the iconic patch on the side.
Plaid is also big not only in the canvas but also in the sandals. These three styles from Gotcha and Rocket Dog are really cool. The Mesa and the Jockey have this great padded insole with fun plaid uppers and if you want to not show that much plaid you can always go with the Cabo with the plaid footbed and frayed canvas strap. And for those of you not quite ready for the plaid we also have the tan Boulder and Durango or the Brown Caravan slide.
Don’t worry, we’ll still have all your traditional basics this year but we’re really excited about these fun new items the spring for men.
