It’s a topic hitting headlines: Spend Less, Save More. Cut Bills, Keep Cash. From the pump, to the produce isle — we’re all feeling the pinch, and we’re all hearing the promises. Which is why we don’t want to just talk about ways to cut back, we want to show you a few solutions. It’s not about being cheap, but being smart, that is the premise of our September theme: Be Resourceful.
Anchoring this theme is a brand new series we’re calling “Living on Less.” Helping us to do that is new Studio 5 Contributor, Janet Eyring.
“Living on Less means figuring out how to do the things you love and like doing with your family for less money. Most people think living on less is living without – it’s not,” Janet explains. “Every Wednesday, I’m going to show you how to prepare three, budget-friendly meals for fifteen dollars or less. It will allow you to spend less money on groceries and be able to spend your money elsewhere.”
The fun will extend beyond the grocery bill. For Beauty & Style Contributor Holly Stone, being resourceful involves a few beauty secrets hiding in your pantry.
“I’m going to show you how to get brighter, whiter nails, how to help control dandruff, how to exfoliate the dead kin on your lips and your feet all using products you can find in your kitchen,” Holly promises.
And if you love an “Alisa Bangerter party” as much as we do, you might be surprised to learn her shopping style.
“When I prepare for a party, I love to go shopping and head to the clearance isle in any store I’m going to,” Studio 5 Party, Holiday and Ideas Contributor Alisa Bangerter shares. “We often have really big plans and really good intentions, but when it comes down to it, we are short on time, money, resources and ideas – and some simple tricks can really help.”
Our entire team is on board…excited to explore ways to make the most of what we have.
In truth, it’s more than just saving, but it’s savoring, all of life’s resources.
