Successful Gingerbread Houses

Gingerbread houses are fun, when they don’t fail!

Avoid an epic disaster, with Studio 5’s fail-safe tips with family researcher Heather Johnson.

Heather’s Gingerbread House Frosting

1 lb. powdered sugar
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar.

Add all the ingredients together and beat on medium high speed for 7-9 minutes. I always beat for closer to 9 minutes. Put it into a piping bag (or a ziplock bag will work). Snip the end of the bag and start decorating.

For every 8 people making houses, I make 4 batches of frosting. You don’t have to make each batch separately. I put the ingredients for all four batches in together.
