3. United Way 2-1-1 schedules tax appointments for the Volunteer Income

a coalition of service providers called Earn It, Keep It, Save It, and assists any
household with an annual income of $50,000 or less. Certified volunteers
prepare the taxes at no charge, helping Utah families access the correct tax
incentives such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Last year, the VITA
program brought in more than $24 million dollars in tax refunds to Utah,
with an estimated $8 million received from EITC.
