United Way of Salt Lake Women’s Philanthropic Network

Recognized as a leading expert in identifying the community’s most serious social issues, the organization has a strong reputation for bringing together the best and the brightest leaders to develop the most effective solutions to bring about lasting change.

United Way of Salt Lake is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life – a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health and well-being. United Way of Salt Lake invites everyone to “live united” and be a part of the change.

United Way of Salt Lake Women’s Philanthropic Network, a diverse group of forward-thinking women, came together three years ago to make a commitment to educate, inspire and empower women to greater personal philanthropy. They chose to tackle the underserved needs of a growing population of immigrants and refugees living in the community. Their effort came to be known as the Immigrant and Refugee Integration initiative, now a strategic focus of United Way of Salt Lake. These women provide resources for research, advocacy, scholarships, Welcome Centers and other program grants. The network has grown to 130 members who invest their time and money to help the community.

Paula Green Johnson with the Women’s Philanthropic Network talks about WPN’s upcoming Nordstrom Grand Opening Gala March 3 to benefit the Initiative.
