Utah Career College Is Now Broadview University

Broadview University serves students from campuses in Layton, Orem, Salt Lake City and West Jordan, and offers a range of programs online.

Utah Career College, founded in 1977, announced it has changed its name to Broadview University. The name change reflects the school’s recent growth, including the addition of its first graduate degree, a Master of Science in Management with emphases in Information Technology, Health Care Management and Management Leadership.

Broadview University will open a new campus in Salt Lake City this October. The new campus will offer four Bachelor of Fine Arts programs in sequential imaging, graphic design, game art and entertainment design.
Furthermore, Dee Ann Kerr is the new regional director for all Broadview University campuses. Kerr has many years of experience working in the career college sector, including the last 15 years with Globe Education Network (GEN). Broadview University is a member of GEN, a consortium of career colleges and schools that cooperate to offer students more choices in pursuing their postsecondary education, including access to more than 975 faculty and transferability of credit. Kerr will play a key role in Broadview University’s expansion plans.

“In 2010, it became clear that the name ‘Utah Career College’ no longer reflected everything we offer,” Kerr said. “With the addition of our graduate degree to our existing range of diverse programs, the term ‘university’ best describes our growing institution.”
Broadview University has grown to encompass four campuses, located in Layton, Orem,
West Jordan, and Salt Lake City. Online programs are also available. The newest campus in Salt Lake City is located at 240 East Morris Avenue. Broadview University is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
