Michelle Inkley recently showed us some little details that will make your Halloween table really pop. We were smitten with them all, but one recommendation jumped out. It’s a simple Halloween accessory that is super cheap, or, that you may already have: a witch hat!

“I’m just smitten with the idea of a witch hat as a centerpiece,” she said. “It takes up the circumference that we need, and they’re so cheap!”

She noticed that after a while, they started to droop, but came up with genius solutions.
“There are two ways you can keep them straight up on your table,” she says. “The first way is to fill it up with batting. It doesn’t make weird shapes… it stays up, and everything is dreamy.”
“The second thing I did that worked great are these dowels that I had. I just stuck the dowel right in the middle, and if you put something heavy on the witch’s hat… it really stabilizes it and it keeps its shape way better than anything else I’ve tried.”
