A Hot Chocolate Bar for Any Occasion

A nice mug of hot chocolate can warm up any cold, January night.

Heather Smith with Orson Gygi shares how to trim a hot chocolate bar.
Classic Hot Chocolate
1/2 cup dry baking cocoa
12 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 tsp salt
7 1/2 cups milk or water
2 tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients into a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat. Stir frequently until heated through.
White Hot Chocolate with Orange
Zest from an entire orange
5 cups milk
10 scoops Ghirardelli Sweet Ground White Chocolate

Remove zest from orange using a vegetable peeler, being careful not to get any of the bitter pith. Combine the strips of orange zest and milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil.
Add the Ghirardelli white chocolate and lower heat. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes. Strain out the zest and serve.
