Megan started out by reminding us that the Sephora sale happens twice a year. “I tend to lean towards it being a better option in the summer because the fall one lands right before Black Friday. Everything Black Friday is typically a better deal,” she emphasized.

With the Sephora sale having been so heavily promoted online, Megan noted, “Influencers get commissions when they refer products. They definitely jump on the bandwagon and like to share their favorites, but there’s nothing wrong with that.” However, she emphasized that you’ll find better deals if you wait for Black Friday.

Insider Tips for Black Friday Beauty Deals

Megan shared several ways to maximize savings during Black Friday:

Compare Prices Across Retailers and Brand Websites

One of the biggest strategies Megan recommended is comparing prices not just on major retailers like Sephora and Ulta, but also on the individual brands’ websites. She explained, “Sometimes those brands are going to get better discounts on their own website because it kind of cuts out the middleman.”

Look for Big Ticket Items

Black Friday is one of the best times to purchase big-ticket beauty items, like hairstyling tools. Megan said that brands like T3 offer big discounts during this time, with some items being 30% off. “This is the time to do the big ticket because they don’t go on sale very often,” she emphasized.

Go for Gift Sets

Gift sets are another great way to save money. Megan pointed out that these sets often provide more value per piece compared to buying them individually. “If you go for the gift sets, you’re going to get much better value,” she explained.

Use Advent Calendars for Stocking Stuffers

Advent calendars can be a great way to stock up on stocking stuffers. Megan suggested breaking up the items in the calendar to use as small gifts. “They’re perfect for stocking stuffers, they’re perfect to, like, tie on the top of a package for something extra,” she recommended.
