Creamy Cheddar Souper Bowl

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
6-8 green onions
3 tablespoons flour
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
1 10-3/4 ounce can chicken broth
1 empty broth can filled with milk
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 slices bacon, fried, drained, and crumbled

Low-Fat Note: Fat may be reduced to 11 grams per serving by reducing margarine to 2 tablespoons, use skim milk, use low-fat cheddar cheese, and eliminated bacon as garnish. Saturated fat will also be reduced to 4 grams per serving.
