Make Crispy, Smokey, Carrot Bacon as a Summer Burger Topper

This might blow your mind. You can make your carrots taste like bacon! Crispy, smokey, and unbelievably crunchy.

Carrot Bacon

Makes 12


  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika


  1. Using a vegetable peeler, shave long slices from the carrot, as close to the center as possible for the widest part.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and marinade the carrots strips for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Using an airfryer, cook at 390 degrees for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Using an oven, cook on the top rack for about 10-11 minutes. Watch carefully so they don’t burn.
