About the Regence Caring Foundation for Children

The Regence Caring Foundation for Children is currently accepting applications in Utah.

Children who qualify for the Regence Caring Foundation for Children dental program must meet family income guidelines, be younger than nineteen years of age, and not be enrolled in a private or government sponsored dental insurance plan.

Eligible children may receive the following types of covered services:

•Initial comprehensive oral exam and one follow-up exam

•X-rays – bitewing and periapical

•Cleanings, fluoride, sealants, and resins

•Space maintainers and fillings

•Crowns

•Extractions

• Therapeutic pulpotomy

•Root canals

The comprehensive dental care provided through the Regence Caring Foundation for Children, from x-rays and cleanings to extensive root canals and crowns, helps children avoid serious problems from untreated oral diseases, including:

•School absenteeism

•Poor self-esteem

•Speech impediments

•Life-threatening infections

•Costly emergency room visits

The Regence Caring Foundation has provided more than 18,000 uninsured children with free medical or dental care for 14 years.

The Regence Caring Foundation for Children is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization sponsored by Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah

Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah provides more than $450,000 in cash and in-kind contributions annually.
