Kurt Bestor’s Best of Utah Singer Search

It’s an opportunity that Kurt Bestor is giving to one lucky Utah voice.

It’s been a Utah Christmas tradition for 19 years and when the lights dim in Abravanel Hall, you have an opportunity to be the guest soloist at this year’s Kurt Bestor Christmas concert.

All the exciting facts . . .

Winner of Bestor’s Best of Utah Singer Search will receive the following:

• A holiday arrangement by Kurt Bestor.

• A session in a recording studio with Kurt Bestor to record that arrangement.

• A guest singing spot at Kurt Bestor’s 19th Annual Christmas Concert and the chance to sing in front of 12,000 fans.

• A trip to LA, including flight and hotel, to meet recording executives.

General Audition Details/Rules:

1. Each participant will have 2 minutes to sing a song of their own choosing, with a microphone, a cappella.

2. Those wanting to audition will be seen on a first come, first-served basis.

3. A sign-up sheet will be present at each event.

4. Auditioners must remember their number from the sign up sheet and will have one minute to respond when their number is called, or they will lose their place.

5. Time slots cannot be booked before the beginning of the event.

6. Those auditioning must sign a waiver to agree to be filmed for possible broadcast via internet or TV.

St George, UT: October 18, Thursday, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Main Street in front of the Wells Fargo Bank.

Ogden, UT: October 23, Tuesday, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. The Junction MegaPlex 13 Theaters.

Logan, UT: October 31, Wednesday,
12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. Taggart Student Center Lounge, Utah State University Campus

Provo/Orem, UT: November 7, Wednesday, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. University Mall, Canyon Court (next to Mervyn’s)

Salt Lake City, UT: November 14, Wednesday, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Union Pacific Building at The Gateway.
