1. Kill grass in the sidewalk. Pour full strength white vinegar on grass growing in your sidewalk or driveway.

2. Clean your gold jewelry with 1 c. cider vinegar. Let it soak for no longer than 15 min., rinse and wipe dry.

3. Clean your glassware to a sparkling shine in the dishwasher with 1 ½ to 2 c. of distilled white vinegar. Add the vinegar at the beginning of the wash cycle along with your regular detergent.

4. Keep colors from fading and set colors in your new clothes by adding 1 c. white vinegar to a rinse cycle before the clothing is washed for the first time.

5. Add flavor to a can of soup, gravy or sauce with a teaspoon of your favorite specialty vinegar. It adds flavor and tastes fresher.

6. Tenderize meat (chicken, beef or pork) by marinating with spices, vinegar (usually a balsamic or flavored vinegar) and oil for at least 2 hours. For a more tender and flavorful piece of meat, marinate in a zippered bag.

7. Clean hard water off tile, showers doors, shower heads, dishes and pans by putting a little white vinegar on the hard water stains. Let it sit for a little while, rinse and wipe dry.

8. Clear clogged drains by putting ½ c. soda in the drain; pour 1 c. boiling white vinegar down the drain. Let sit for 30 minutes then flush with 1 gallon cold water.

9. Clean your window blinds by putting on white cotton gloves and dipping them in equal parts of vinegar and water then wiping each slat of the blinds. Keep clean water in another container to periodically rinse off the grime.

10. Get rid of mold and mildew by spraying with full strength vinegar and wiping gently. It will also prevent the re-growth of mold and mildew.
