1. Keep your suitcase organized and separated by packing your clothes using clear plastic bags. Put your shoes, underwear, shampoos, makeup etc. in them. This helps when you are trying to find things and it keeps everything neat when baggage handlers search your bags.

2. Keep your hanging clothes from wrinkling when you pack by layering the thin cleaner bags between your clothes.

3. Keep your paintbrush from drying out when you are in the middle of a project. Simply wrap tightly, but don’t put it in the freezer. Water based paint is ruined when it is frozen and oil based paint will ruin the bristles when frozen.

4. Refrigerate your leftover food in plastic bags. You simply put them in the microwave to warm up the food and then throw them away.

5. Line your tall kitchen garbage cans with your old plastic bags from the cleaners. Simply tie the bottom in a knot and tie a knot in the top to make it fit over the garbage can and you have recycled a plastic bag without incurring the expense for garbage bags. (Use the same kind of knot that you use to tie a balloon.)

6. Protect your knees with plastic grocery bags. Keep a couple of plastic grocery bags in your car to tie around your knees in case you have to change a tire and you have to kneel down.

7. Protect your arms when you reach into deep dark holes while working in the yard. Slip a dry cleaning bag over your hand and arm as you reach into damp dark places – great protection from spiders!

8. Move your canned goods. When you move (short moves), most grocery stores will give you some of their plastic grocery bags. Instead of using boxes for your canned goods, load up the plastic bags just like you did to get the groceries in the house in the first place and move them to your new house. Make a handle out of cardboard to protect your hand while you carry all those plastic bags.

9. Keep a dry cleaner bag in your car to protect your clothes. Tear the top wide enough to go over your head and tear holes for your arms. Slip it over your body to protect your clothes against dirt or rain.

10. Make rice cereal treats in a plastic grocery bag. Spray non-stick spray in a large plastic grocery bag, put 10 c. cereal in the bag. Melt 1 (10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows and ¼ c. butter in the microwave, stir until blended and add 1 c. peanut butter and pour over cereal. Manipulate until cereal is coated. Press into a greased cookie sheet and cool. Cut and serve. Throw away the bag.
