No-Rules Scrapbooking

No-Rules Scrapbooking

When it comes to scrapbooking, forget the traditional “dos and don’ts,” and
have fun with the trendy “no-rules” method. This creative form of memory
keeping is fun, easy, and very creative.

Creating Keepsakes Editor Megan Hoeppner shares details about “no-rules”
scrapbooking.

To start, you’ll need a journal. There are a few pre-made options available,
including:

The Sm
ashbook
by K&Company

The Amy Tangerine
Notebook by American
Crafts

The Ditto line of books (and supplies) by
Hampton Art

Or you can make your own album using any sort of journal. Ideas include:

A Composition Notebook

A Children’s Book

A Photo Album

With your book ready, you’ll just need a few basic supplies to add your
memories. Here’s a little shopping list of ideas to get you started. You most
likely have most of this already around your house!

For added fun, use an instant camera, like the FUJIFILM INSTAX Mini, to add
photo memories. It not only adds a bit of a retro flair, but it’s also very fun to
use, especially when that picture you just took comes out of the camera (and
into your album)!

With your book and supplies ready, it’s as easy as adding notes, photos,
memorabilia, etc. to the pages. Here are a few book ideas to get you
inspired:

So, feel free to break (or bend) the rules a bit and get creative and free with
your scrapbooking! How much fun would these be as holiday gifts, and
they’ll come together quickly, which is always a bonus!
