Recipes for the Perfect Halloween Party:
Witch Finger Breadsticks
Ingredients:
1 package dry yeast
1 T. honey
½ cup warm water
1 T. powdered milk
1 t. salt
4 – 4 ½ cups flour
24 almond slices
• Soften yeast and honey in warm water.
• Add milk, salt, and green food coloring and blend together.
• Add flour gradually with wooden spoon until dough pulls away from sides of bowl to form ball.
• Divide into 12 pieces and roll and stretch between hands.
• Make stick 10 to 12 inches long on greased cookie sheet.
• Brush with beaten egg.
• Add one sliced almond to the end of each breadstick to make fingernail.
• Allow to raise 15 to 20 minutes
• Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes
Corn Pops
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 1/3 cup sugar
½ cup light Karo Syrup
Method:
• Boil and pour over “Corn Puffs”
Chocolate Chunk Surprise Spider Cupcakes
Ingredients:
1 box devil’s food cake mix
1 cup buttermilk
½ cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
24 miniature Milky Way bars
Chocolate cookie crumbs
Method:
• Make cake as directed on box, adding a Milky Way bar to each muffin cup filled with batter.
• Bake as directed.
• Frost with chocolate butter cream frosting.
• Immediately roll top of cupcake in cookie crumbs
• Cut licorice in half and put in cupcake to make legs.
