Planet Fitness: Fab Abs Workout

Keith Larsen from Planet Fitness shares that there is a more important reason for those tight abs.

Planet Fitness is known as the “Judgment Free Zone” and they like to help people maximize their efforts no matter what you wear, what you look like or how much you weigh …you’ll always be accepted and respected. With a Planet Fitness membership, you get unlimited group fitness training sessions for one to four persons per session. When you come in first time, you meet with a trainer who gets you started first with cardio and second with core training. Those sexy abs mean a strong core, which is so important to combine with cardio to improve your overall workout and health.

These are three quick workouts that you can perform whether you are in the gym or at home!

The first exercise is called the Plank.

Lay face down with your elbows and forearms directly under your shoulders.

Press your body up so weight is on forearms and toes.

Keeping body straight from toes to shoulders, hold yourself for 15-60 seconds at a time.

Second, we are going to do a V-Sit Crunch.

Sit on the mat with hands flat slightly behind you, knees bent, and feet flat on the ground.

Leaning slightly back, raise your legs while pointing toes creating a “v” shape with your body.

Bend your knees, pulling them into your body and press out again for one rep.

Last, let’s do the Bicycle.

Lay on your back, hands behind your head, knees bent, feet flat on the floor

Raise your shoulders off the floor, touching your left elbow to your right bent knee while straightening your left leg parallel to the ground a few inches above the ground.

Without laying back down touch your right elbow to your left knee for one rep.

It’s easy to do this when you have a trainer, and that’s part of the appeal of Planet Fitness – everyone can have a trainer, and it’s all part of the membership fees.

Here is how that works:

Right now, you can join Planet Fitness for just $1 during their one dollar sale. Start up fees usually run between $29 and $39, but if you act before this Wednesday it is only 1 dollar. That’s a one-time enrollment fee of $1 down and then just $10 a month with no commitment. Your membership gives you access to all the weights, machines, classes and personal training you want.

Just visit the Planet Fitness web site at planetfitness.com. You can find the nearest location to you and join in person or online.
