Sausage and Tomato Cream Gnocchi

Sausage and Tomato Cream Gnocchi
2 T. olive oil
½ cup onion, diced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
½ pound Italian sausage
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
Red Pepper Flakes
8 oz. heavy whipping cream
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
16 oz. Cooked Potato Gnocchi

In a large skillet, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil for 2 minutes. Add sausage and cook thoroughly, about 5-6 minutes. Pour crushed tomatoes over sausage and stir. Add a couple shakes of red pepper flakes and let simmer on med/low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cream and Parmesan cheese and stir until cheese starts to melt, about 3-4 minutes. Cook Gnocchi according to package directions. Serve sauce over cooked gnocchi and top with more Parmesan cheese, if desired.
