Shirley J: Whisk Bliss

Whip up an easy, spring side dish with Whisk Bliss.


· For Rice:

o 1 c. Long Grain Rice
o 2 c. Water
o 1 Tb. Butter

· For Completed Dish:

o 1/2 c. Shirley J Whisk Bliss® Original
o 1 3/4 c. Water
o 1 c. Fresh Asparagus, Chopped
o 8 oz Velveeta Cheese


In a stockpot, combine rice, water, and butter and bring to a boil. Turn heat
to low and cover for about 15 minutes. While rice is cooking, combine, in a
small saucepan, water and Whisk Bliss. Bring to a slow boil, simmer for 3-4
minutes, and add asparagus and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and
remove from heat. Add asparagus mixture to fully cooked rice. Cover and let
stand for five minutes. Stir gently and serve.
