Spicy Citrus Stir Fry Sauce
1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup red wine or rice vinegar
2-3 Tbl soy sauce
1-2 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp minced onion
2 Tbl sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Zest of one orange; cut and reserve orange pulp to toss with stir fry
2 Tbl cornstarch
Whisk sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Slowly pour over stir fried meat and vegetables and cook over medium heat until sauce has thickened. Toss in reserved orange pieces and season to taste. Serve over cooked rice.
Spicy Citrus Sauce over Broiled Salmon
1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup red wine or rice vinegar
2-3 Tbl soy sauce
1-2 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp minced onion
2 Tbl sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Zest of one orange; cut and reserve orange pulp to toss over salmon
2 Tbl cornstarch
Whisk sauce ingredients together in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sauce has thickened. Broil salmon on high for 12 minutes or until cooked through. Pour sauce over hot salmon, top with orange pieces and serve.
Citrus Salad Dressing
1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup red wine or rice vinegar
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp minced onion
2 tsp spicy mustard
¾ cup light olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Zest of one orange; cut and reserve orange pieces to toss in salad
Whisk all ingredients together and toss over green salad along with orange pieces.
