The Five “It” Spring Accessories

Studio 5 Contributor Mindy Dunyon reveals this spring’s “must have” Accessories.

Buying accessories is a good way to update your wardrobe without spending a lot of money. Plus, there are a lot of items you can buy now while it’s still cold, that will carry into spring. Here are the 5 “must have” accessories for spring.

Trench Coat

This spring bold and bright colored trench coats are very popular. Dare to go unconventional and trendy in color and style. You can wear them with jeans, dress pants, or you can even wear them as a dress with a cute pair of boots.

Whimsy – 2005 East 2700 South, Salt Lake. $128

Scarves

Yes, scarves are still a big trend this spring. From feminine florals to strong, abstract graphics, scarves will be everywhere this coming season. The great thing is, you can wear them even when it’s warmer. Just pair up your favorite scarf with a cute t-shirt, or even a dress.

Jolley’s Stems and Gifts – 1702 South 1100 East. $20

Flower and Feather Headbands

Hair accessories are really popular for spring. They feature flowers, bright colors and spring touches. Headbands are a great way to dress up a pony tail or a bun, or you can still wear them with your hair down for a bold look.

Flower headband: Anthropologie at the Gateway. $38

Feather headband: Peach Boutique – 914 East 900 South, Salt Lake City. $65

Fingerless Gloves

Fingerless gloves are great because you can keep them on and still use the touch screen on your i-pod or i-phone. They are so stylish, you can even keep them on in the office or at the grocery store.

Hip and Humble – 1043 East 900 South, Salt Lake City. $28

Obi Style Belt

All kinds of belts are in this spring in a variety of widths, textures and colors. You can wear the thick Obi style belt with almost anything. It looks really cute over a coat, blazer, cardigan, dress, or shirt.

This one came from Peach Boutique. $40
