Best New Family Games 2010

Studio 5 producer Stephanie Bryson shares our picks.

Criteria

The Studio 5 staff cannot be bogged down in a long sit-down board game and conquer the world. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) We prefer games that don’t require such a commitment. Our favorites are games that require some mad skill, some intelligence, but no pressure. In a nutshell, we like games that are:

   • Easy to learn.
   • Quick to play.
   • Appeal to a variety of ages
   • Promote family interaction
