Put some patchwork flair on a plain hoodie!

With the increased interested in upcycling, another trend is making its mark. Patchwork clothing is everywhere – from the runway to the craft room – and the handmade touch makes your clothing unique and gives your fabric scraps a whole new purpose.

Kris Thurgood, with My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe, shared a simple way to achieve this look on our sweatshirts! She says using a “cheater cloth” is an easy way to get the look without the extra work. It’s simply taking one fabric by itself and quilting it. Kris shared all the steps to removing the hoodie pocket, attaching the quilted block and adding personality to the project.
