Have a sandwich and a salad with a salad stuffed sandwich.

You put your soup in a bread bowl… so why not stuff your salad in a baguette! This creative idea collides your sandwich and salad world.

Chopped Italian Salad Stuffed Sandwich

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Lettuce
  • 2 slices Ham
  • 2 slices Turkey
  • 4 slices Salami
  • 4 slices Pepperoni
  • 2 slices Provolone
  • 2 slices Red Onion
  • 3 slices Tomatoes
  • 1/4 Cup Pepperoncinis
  • 2 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 – 3 Deli Rolls

METHOD

  1. Spread chopped lettuce on a cutting board.
  2. Layer with ham, turkey, salami, pepperoni, provolone, red onions, tomatoes and pepperoncinis.
  3. Using a large knife, give everything a rough chop.
  4. Add the vinegar, oil, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  5. Continue to chop until everything is very small. You can continue to chop everything until it looks like a paste.  This takes about 5 minutes.
  6. Take out some bread from the deli roll and fill with the lettuce and meat mixture.
  7. Close the sandwich up and eat!
