United Way of Salt Lake: GIVE 5 Campaign

United Way of Salt Lake’s Rebecca Dutson comes to Studio 5 to demonstrate how easy this is.

The GIVE 5 campaign continues.

The United Way of Salt Lake has been introducing the GIVE 5 campaign recently to people and how it works, how quick and simple it is. And they have great partners teaming up with them to get the word out either through e-mail blasts or on their websites – the modern way – or through on-site material and takeaways – the traditional ways to communicate. United Way of Salt Lake wants to thank those loyal and valuable supporters – Zions Bank, the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, Tesoro, Payless Shoes, Costco, REAL Salt Lake – and KSL and the Bonneville companies for their valuable help in this year’s campaign.

For a 105-year old organization, United Way of Salt Lake keeps up-to-date and changing, but their mission is still the same.

Their mission remains “to improve lives by bringing people and resource together to solve (their) communities’ most serious social problems.” It’s their hope and vision that United Way can help create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.

In times of such economic challenges and the recession, there is much to do.

It is a difficult time and United Way’s efforts are needed now more than ever. They concentrate on the education, health, income and safety net service issue in Davis, Salt Lake, Summit & Tooele counties.

The needs and issues are as acute as they’ve ever been so United Way of Salt Lake continually hopes to keep on adapting to the changes in order to help as many people as possible in as easy and convenient a way as possible. Show us again how to GIVE 5 and tell five, because it will really make a difference throughout large parts of our state.
