Valentine’s Day Menu: 3 recipes to help you celebrate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Valentine’s Day Menu

Strawberry Heart Danishes

INGREDIENTS

  • Puff Pastry Dough
  • 1 Package Cream Cheese – Softened
  • 2 T. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 lb Strawberries – Washed and Diced
  • 1 egg

METHOD

  1. Preheat Oven to 375°F
  2. Prep cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Lightly flour the working surface, and lay out puff pastry.
  4. Using 2 different sizes of heart-shaped cookie cutters, 1 slightly smaller than the other, cut out larger pieces first, then cut ½ of the hearts with the smaller cutter.
  5. Lay the outlined heart on top of the solid heart, creating a heart with a border, then lay on the cookie sheet. (Add smaller blank hearts to the cookie sheet as well)
  6. Using a fork, poke holes in the bottom of the puff pastry to prevent excess rising.
  7. Whisk together egg and 1 T. water, creating an egg wash. Using a pastry brush, brush
  8. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla, and spoon into hearts.
  9. Then, add the desired amount of strawberries to the pastry.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes, or until puff pastry is cooked through and golden brown.

 

Pizza Roses

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cans Pillsbury Thin Crust Pizza Dough
  • ¼ C. Butter – Melted
  • 1 T. Garlic Salt
  • 1 Package Pepperoni
  • 1 Bag Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

METHOD

  1. Turn the Oven to 425°F
  2. Slightly flour your work space surface, and roll out the pizza dough.
  3. Combine melted butter and garlic salt, then, using a pastry brush, bruch both pizzas with the mixture.
  4. Cut each pizza dough lengthwise, into 6 equal slices.
  5. Lay out pepperoni half way on the pizza strip, and overlap each pepperoni ¼ over each other.
  6. Sprinkle cheese at the base of the pepperoni, then flip the remaining pizza strip over cheese, leaving ½ of the pepperoni exposed.
  7. Start rolling the strips from one end to the other, keeping cheese tucked in.
  8. Spray a muffin tin, then place the roses into the muffin tin.
  9. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until golden brown.

 

Pink Alfredo Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 C Heavy Cream
  • ½ Onion – Diced
  • ½ C Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Garlic Cloves – Chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. Beet Powder

METHOD

  1. Saute onion in a tablespoon of olive oil, then add in chopped garlic.
  2. Add in heavy cream, and bring to a boil.
  3. Whisk in beet powder, and Salt and Pepper to taste.
  4. Reduce heat to medium low, and add pasta.
  5. Add Cheese.
