What is a Chocolate Tasting?

Chocolate tasting is a unique date night, dinner party dessert, girls’ night etc. You can go to chocolate tasting events in specialty stores but Kelsey shares how to make a DIY chocolate tasting at home.

It’s a fun way to compare different types of chocolate. You can go as simple as comparing white, milk, and dark chocolate or more complex in comparing different origin chocolates from various craft chocolate bars.

How to Host a Chocolate Tasting Party

  • Set out a variety of chocolates to sample, along with worksheets to record your thoughts and notes on each flavor.
  • Start by using a store brand chocolate such as Dove to give you a familiar taste to compare the other brands with.
  • Evaluate chocolate based on characteristics such as color, snap, texture, and flavor.
  • Discuss thoughts and results of the tasting.
